Grinders has lot's to offer much to offer at good prices

I was here with a friend after a movie visit. This place is very interesting with different kinds of grinders, pizza and more. Very funky sort of place with an interesting menu and lots to offer for lunch and dinner. I had a meatball grinder which was quite good.
Someday I will be back to try other parts of the menu. Maybe the insanely hot chicken wings on Wed Half-price Death Wings and $12 Bucket-O-Beer (domestics only). This also might make a good effort for Travel Channel's Man Vs. Food.

First and last time here

I do not think I have been to Domino's ever. Their pizzas do not excite me. However I was interested in their Sweet & Spicy Chicken Habanero sandwich which I took for takeout.

My wife thought part of the sandwich was okay. It was spicy sweet and had a little habanero kick to it. It was pretty small sized foot long compared to Quizno's and others sub places. It also curiously had two small mild jalapeno like chillies which I thought curious.

Based on this times go around, it will be my last. Sarpino's and Spin Pizza are much better and offer more in several ways for good prices.

Jersey-Boyz-Deli-Subs has spoiled me- great subs here

This place has spoiled me in terms of eating subs. We ate here before it moved down the road. The subs are enormous and are very tasty. This place gives you a lot for your buck more then almost any other sub place.

Hold the ham, but try the other great Kosher meat sandwiches

I saw this placed opened up awhile back close to a hotel and not far from the Jewish Community Center, where I work out.So went searching and finally found it. I was glad that another kosher place was in town. I talked to the owners and they said people didn't mind not having " ham and the none kosher meats " . I agreed as we don't eat ham. Besides the chicken, pastrami and all the meats etc were delectably fine as Kosher. While it might not be a New York deli, this places does it best to make it like one. The sandwiches we tried were excellent. The Pastrami sandwich was great and my wife enjoyed the Pastrami. Don't ask to put cheese on the meat or chicken though because they can't do that otherwise it would not be kosher. Also the breads with cheese can be paired with the meats. I like the extra veggie toppings with them though. I miss the toasting of the subs (like Quiznos) but this was still fine. Don't let being kosher stop you. They are still mighty tasty and you won't be sorry unless you hunger for ham. Try it . You'll like it!

Tasty subs and much more at Mike's

We have eaten at all the sub places in the city. I am more "into" the subs with the "double meat " portions or the meatballs otherwise you are mostly getting bread and some veggies and not much more. We don't go for subs often but I usually go when there are coupons. There are quite a range of prices for the different subs so it takes a little while to make up your mind (at least mine). This place has more then subs (pizza, salads, cold subs, wraps and more). The Grilled Pastrami Reuben sub caught my eye as I was in the mood for pastrami. This was a great choice. This "regular" sized sub ($6.25) is more then the other chains who are promoting their foot long sub specials. The taste of this one was exceptional. I usually don't like sauerkraut with pastrami but it "melded" way with the thousand island dressing.I wonder whether the other ones are just as good? I'll probably come back and try sometime soon.

Johnny;s Brusco's New York Style Pizza Tasty entrees, awesome stromboli and good prices

My friends told me about this place where they come now almost weekly. That said and the Mini Garlic bread knots were awesome. Well I had to come along with them and see for myself. They were righ. This place has tasty out of the ordinary entrees and more then just pizza ( salads, subs and much more). The portions are huge. Those doughy knots were garlicky and swimming olive oil and pieces of garlic. Great to dip in and drizzle on anything else we ordered. My friends loved the pizzas, the eggplant parmesian in the house tomato sauce and the chicken caesar salad. I ordered the syracuse sttuffer stromboli and boy was it ever. The baked dough was savory and about as big as my arm! The mild cheese had nice chunks of steak , veggies. It was so huge I left 2/3 to take home. They nicely left a little container of the tomato sauce which by the way had a unique flavor. The chunky sauce has lots of tomato flavor, very fresh and with garlic and some other spices I could not identify (cilantro?). The menu has a wide variety of entrees including italian dinners, specialty pizzas (many toppings) , wraps, subs . The prices are very reasonable and priced right. Supposedly students come here all the time and I can see why. I can't wait to come back. My only problem is what should I try next ?
