It was dark chocolaty, creamy with different types of chocolate. We finished every little shread of it as it was so good. After thinking it over, I would not get this bread sticks and salad thing deal again. For just a few dollars more, a meal comes with an entree and the salad and bread comes with it. So this might be the last time we do the salad and breadsticks ploy with/out a pizza. Still we had a nice time. But OG is not my favorite Italian place (Cinzetti's is) but this restaurant is closer. But if they throw in the soup for lunch I might come again.

Thai pizza at CPK
At this place and other places in the country that I have tried this chain (airports etc) I almost always try the awesome thai chicken. Good tangy bbq sauce, good bite sized pieces of chicken and crispy crust, make for good pizza eating. I love thai and CPK makes good thai pizza.

the food = the sum of the parts ( ingredients)
My son and I came here when this Lawrence location first opened. I was impressed with the menus and items. Different take on foods from around world (usually 1 or each). Fish, vegetable, turkey, meat , chicken in the salads, grilled sandwiches, half & half, wraps, gourmet pizzas for lunch or dinner (and now breakfast items with biscuits and gravy, steak and eggs, waffles, oatmeal, eggs benedict take off and yogurt parfait). I liked the Vietnamese Dim Sum wrap with its curry and coconut, noodles and veggies- almost like a pad thai in a wrap. The meals and ingredients are fresh, have good tastes and have their own little "twist" from different countries (Asian, Italy, Mexico etc.). You can customize your salads (wow amazing amount of ingredients ), create your pizza pie (good number). They don't want tipping here. There is now another in Overland Park. This is one place I will be back. Maybe for the Mahi Tacos or Honey Wasabi Turkey burger. I like the place, the menu and the ingredients. There is good selections and I can think of other entrees or pies I would like to eat when I come back.

Stromboli's was a volcano and this restaurant's pizza was hot
A few years ago my sister took me to this place (posted on the take out menu as Newtonville). While I don't see this location on Urbanspoon I believe it is part of that chain. I remember the inside the smell of the Italian dishes. I believe I tried the Giadrdinni " a garden fresh vegetable pizza with onion, mushrooms and mozzorella. I remembered the place and the pizza and it was very good.

Spin! Neapolitan Pizza is so good the 3 S's
I heard about this place awhile back as it was mentioned in the Kansas City Star for its excellence. Enough said. I had to find and try this place. We have been here several times at the location on 119th street but down south in Overland Park. Either location the place is great. We don't go out to eat pizza often but I thought that the "overtures" from the Kansas City star deserved a visit.
The inside of the Overland Park is a little more rustic but the Olathe location is fine. They both have those cool looking roundish Italian stove type pizza ovens. They have a good deal on Mondays where there is 3 for the price of two. They were all just excellent. Superlative crust, superb topping, super reasonable prices. The garlic tomato once was our favorite. But the other two were close behind. And they also have amazing gelato dessert. The got the pumpkin gelato which was just amazing. In fact after I tasted some of it, I got a pint of it! Those little spoons make it go a long way. And those pizzas went a long way throughout the week. Try a pie and/ or gelato near you. You will be glad you did.

Blue Grotto sings the blues with urbanspoon
We almost went here last week but since my wife and her pals were going anyway, I thought I would find out what is happening as this restaurant through my wife and some pizza she came back with. She also brought back the menu and I was no impressed. There were 9 types of pizzas , 5 starter plates and 3 salads. Since its a wine bar there is also a big list (but as far as I know no one in her group had wine).
I tasted a piece of Four seasons with crimini mushrooms (very small pieces), marinated artichokes (once again small and could not really taste them), black olive flecks and pecorino cheese. It did not really have a great flavor to it. The Funghi mushroom pizza was unremarkable as well. I would not travel all the way down near the Plaza for this medicore pizzas. For better pie and more innovative wood fire pizza, I would take Neopolitan Spin pizza anytime.

Best Pizza in Chicago?
I wonder whether these really are the best in Chicago? Is it the taste, ingredients or ?
We have some good ones here in Kansas City area.
The latest real good one is Neapolitan Pizza that also really have great flavors of dessert gelato (the pumpkin one was amazing). Also Hand-tossed, stone-fired pizza, salads, sandwiches, wine
We will try the specials possibly next week.
