Serendipity Restaurant Finds : New York City's Macao Trading Co

Macao Trading Co. on Urbanspoon Serendipity Restaurant Finds sometimes appear when I start finding websites. If you like me, you can’t help it. These find are something like a technological “Kevin Bacon’s 6 degrees of Separation”. I find a link, I see it, it looks too interesting, I click on it and it leads me to an article, a review or information. This usually leads me to finding out more about a restaurant that I might visit in the future. At the least, if I am not able to visit and partake at the establishment, I possibly can find a restaurant close by in Kansas City that approximates it in terms of the cuisine, a recipe or something that I would like to explore. There were many at this link

One captures my interests because reportedly it married chinese and portugese influences from thethis province . Macau lies on the western side of the Pearl River Delta, bordering Guangdong province in the north and facing the South China Sea in the east and south.

I love the idea of Fusion recipes, foods and restaurants. I love Ming Tsai’s East- West collection and what he offers at his (near Boston) restaurant Blue Ginger, which I experienced in 2008.

One of their signature dishes is a a Macao type friend rice dish. I think I found a similar one. This website has a nice list of links to interesting rice dishes.
